Pascal Hérold

Pascal Hérold is a video game producer. He is the founder of Duran Duboi of Nadeo. From 1999 to 2009, he was the president of the French challenge for for America's Cup.

Biography[]

Hérold was born on 30 November 1949 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He went to college at Collège Stanislas and Lycée Condorcet. In 1967, during Pollès he formed a rock band. He then married Bacou Labruguière in 1972 of which they had four children: Adrienne, Charlotte, Paul and Louis.

In 1974, he and his wife founded the Laboratoire Dupon. He and Bernard Maltaverne then founded DURAN, a company specialized in editing and special effects for television. They would later specialize in special effects for movies.

In 1986, he took on his trimaran "DUPON-DURAN," his first Route du Rhum, and came in eigth place. He also participated in the Routes du Rhum in 1990 and 1994. During those races, he did a total length of crossing the Atlantic Ocean ten times. During this period, he was met with Sylvie Viant, the chair of the National Union Offshore Racing. He was given presidency for America's Cup in 1999 along with Xavier Lesquen Gelusseau Luc and Pierre Mas.

In 1997, Pascal Hérold became the chairman of the DURAN-DUBOI Group, one of the first companies to specialize in technical industries of cinema and television. He left the group in 2005 to found, along with Catherine and her daughter Louis Macresy, his own film production company "Herold & Family" and Studio "Delacave."

He also, along with Florent Castelnérac, Adrienne Péchère and several enthusiats, founded Nadeo.

He produced three feature films for cinema and two animated films. In 2013, Pascal retired and now lives with his wife in Britain.
